Doreen
Currie
had a one-woman show titled Pennsylvania Farms: Plein
Air Paintings by Doreen Currie at the Laurel Arts Philip
Dressler Center in Somerset. |

Lee Spalding won
several awards—A Juror’s Award at the Allegheny
Community College, Boyce Campus, an Honorable Mention
at the Monroeville Arts Festival and a Judge’s Award
at the Penn Hills Arts Festival. She also participated
in the juried PSA Show at the Third Street Gallery and
she juried into the Five County Arts Association show,
as well as the upcoming PWS Aqueous. Hers will be the
first exhibition in the new Penn Hills Library art gallery. |

Frank
Webb has
won an award at the 87th Annual of the National Watercolor
Society. His painting was also selected to be included
in the travel program which includes many galleries and
museums in the U.S. At the National Watercolor Society
opening in Beria, California, Frank will demonstrate his
approach to design and concepts in watercolor. In March
Frank was the juror for the Southern Watercolor Society
in Moultrie, GA. In June he was juror for the Pikes Peak
Watercolor Society and in August he produced his 5th DVD
titled, “Frank Webb, Painting Enjoyable Color” |

Thurston's

will be featured in the Fall issue of Pittsburgh Magazine.

Kathleen
Zimbicki, Ruth
Richardson and Barry Winsand
had paintings accepted into the Associated Artists of
Pittsburgh's 97th Annual Exhibition at the Carnegie Museum
of Art. Kathleen also has two paintings in the 50th Chataqua
National Exhibition of Art. |
