ELIGIBILITY:
Each PWS invited artist may submit up to three (3) water media works for jury consideration. Invited Artists must send a high-resolution, full-color image of the work for use in the exhibition catalogue and PWS online gallery.
REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE: Pre-registration for the exhibit with a $35 entry fee due by February 16. Register and pay securely on our website, www.pittsburghwatercolorsociety.com If paying by check, after registering online, please make the check out to PWS, and send to:

ARTWORK SALES and REFERRALS:
Exhibiting artists must sign an “Art on Exhibition and Consignment Agreement” and declare a value and sale price for their work. Pittsburgh Botanic Garden will receive 20% of the stated sale price if sold during the exhibition and 10% if the exhibition results in a referral. The Pittsburgh Botanic Garden Store will coordinate all sales and commissions. No prints or copies may be made of the work for sale.
JURYING PROCESS:
Awards will be selected by Melissa Fabian, Art educator in the Botanical Art & Illustration program at Phipps Conservatory and President of the local chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists, the Allegheny Highlands Botanical Art Society.
AWARDS:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cash awards and two “Awards of Merit” will be presented at the opening reception on March 16, 2023. A “People’s Choice” award will be presented at the conclusion of the exhibition.
FRAMING AND PRESENTATION GUIDELINES:
Works’ finished size must not exceed 40” in either direction and can be no smaller than 11”X 14” framed. Work must be original (no prints or copies), professionally framed with glass or acrylic glazing and ready to hang with “D-ring” type hanging hardware attached. Frames may be black wood or black metal and must be no wider than 1 1/2 inches. Artwork should be matted in white or off white, acid-free board.
EXHIBITION DROP-OFF AT Pittsburgh Botanic Garden :
Delivery of artwork to Pittsburgh Botanic Garden is March 4, 2023, 10am-Noon.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
All entries will be handled with the utmost care, however PWS and/or Pittsburgh Botanic Garden cannot be held liable for any damage to or theft of artwork.

Each selected artist will be asked to submit a one-page biography or artist statement to be included ina three-ring binder for gallery use that will include all pertinent information about the artwork on display.We will publish a full-color exhibition catalogue of all works included in the exhibit.
Artwork may be purchased during the exhibition but must remain installed through June 24, 2023.
Pittsburgh Botanic Garden will coordinate shipping of artwork to buyers using common carriers. Thereturn of any unsold works will be coordinated by PWS after June 24, 2023.
